In the
middle of the countryside, at the top of a cluster of seven houses
called "Côte Meunière", nestles our chalet,
which in spring and summertime is covered in geraniums.
A little haven
of peace in the middle of the mountains !
It is situated
just 300 m away from the old village, and 100 m from the local
shops ; a small supermarket with an independent butchers shop
inside, a paper/gift shop, a post office and "Le Tetras"
café/bar.
The house consists of 4 appartments on 2 levels ; 2 gites and the owner's appartment.
Adjoining this are 2 big garages each with space of 2 cars.
The 2 gites situated on the 1st floor have a small private garden and a full set of leisure equipment is available : a large sun umbrella, table, 6 chairs, a bench and a barbecue, as well as a balcony with views of the mountains.
.
Each appartment
is 59 m² and has a large combined kitchen/dining
room with a typical Provencal fireplace, 2 bedrooms,
one with a double bed and cupboards, one with a double bed and
two bunk beds for children as well as cupboards, a bathroom
with bath, shower and wash basin and a separate toilet
; each bedroom is equiped with electric heating,
and the chalet is entirely double glazed and very well insulated.
Everything is NEW, in perfect condition and is
designed for total comfort.
The kitchen
contains, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, a large dishwasher,
and an electric cooker with vitroceramique hob. Not forgetting,
of course, the toaster, filtre coffee maker and the 51 cm television.
Also available
are a raclette oven for 8 people, a fondue service and an iron
with ironing board.
The beds and
bedding are in perfect condition, with mattress covers, bolsters
and pillows, blankets and quilts in abondance.
In the garage,
there is a wahing machine at your disposal.
Finally, there
is also a games room for the long winter (or summer !) evenings
where you can relax with table tennis, darts
and an exercise machine. ( In the second
garage).
What will take your eye as you arrive at the chalet, will be the
stairwell, where everything has been placed to stimulate your
curiosity and interest : the decor is of whipple-trees, ox yokes,
an old bell and snow shoes, milk pots, posters showing the flora
and fauna of the Mercantour National Park, old wood planes and
photos of the village in days gone by.
The same can
be said for each gite, where old saws, billhooks, choppers and
photo frames decorate your appartment with old world charm.
All modern
comfort in a rustique setting.
When
you cross the threshold of 'The Ibex'Den", "The Marmotte
Hideout" or "The Chamois'Refuge", each gite will
refect the theme of the animal, so typical of our region.
